Powered Apparatus Operative

Location: Isle of Wight
Hours: 7.30am - 4.00pm, Mon - Thu, 7.30am - 3pm Friday
Days: Monday - Friday
Duration: Temporary, with a view to being permanent for the right candidate
Duties:
Working a part of a team to install, service and repair electrical apparatus including lighting and signage.
Testing and diagnostics.
Manual handling duties including breaking out and removal of existing fixtures and reinstatement of surrounds.
Operation of power and hand tools.
Working to technical specifications, quality and health and safety standards.
Experience:
Must have previous practical experience within an electronics, electrical, telecoms, IT or similar related technical environment.
Must have a good technical aptitude, be willing to learn new skills and undergo appropriate training. Electrical qualifications are an advantage.
Must be physically fit due to the nature of manual handling tasks.
Must be reliable with good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Full drivers’ licence is required.
Salary: from £11.44 per hour dependent upon qualifications and experience.
