The client The is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Design and Development / Projects Engineering Manager with a global leader – an organisation with an exceptionally well-established global client base and a reputation for providing the highest standards of products for highly regulated sectors. The role – Design and Development / Projects Engineering Manager You will have a challenging, variable and highly rewarding role leading, developing and managing a professional and high performing team of Research / Design and Development Engineers. With responsibility for ensuring the R & D team provide an outstanding service provision to all internal and external stakeholders, you will have a broad range of core duties and responsibilities including; Daily operational management and control for companywide Research and Development Recruitment, mentoring and development of a highly skilled Design Engineering team Ensure product development / R & D meets all company, client and regulatory / industry standards Liaison with all internal and external stakeholder groups in relation to Product design and development Oversee and manage projects from initial concept through all development stages to completion and support scale – up into manufacture Degree, ideally MSc, qualified, you will have an in-depth background and experience managing all elements of companywide design and development and R & D Projects. A natural leader, you will have managed and developed teams of Design professionals to ensure all R & D projects meet company and client requirements on time and to budget. You will have excellent customer facing experience providing sound advice at all stages of product development and manufacture. Previous experience utilising SolidWorks and FEA design is essential, a background within Oilfield Tool development would be a distinct advantage.
