Role Summary
Healthcare Science Cardiorespiratory Apprenticeship | Band 3-4 | Full Time
2-year student contract will be paid at Band 3 per annum pro rata. Upon qualification, you will then progress to Band 4 per annum pro rata.
Are you looking for the next step in your career? The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for a cardiorespiratory apprentice to join our innovative and supportive team.
About the Role
The level 4 apprenticeship is a two-year programme of work-based learning that is directly related to the apprenticeship standard, Healthcare Science Cardiorespiratory (HCS-CR) Apprenticeship Level 4 Diploma. The role will be a mix of in-house training and off-the-job learning through our chosen educational provider, which may include attending college or virtual lectures.
The department offers a comprehensive range of non-invasive investigations including ECG, ambulatory monitoring, physiologist-led exercise tolerance tests, respiratory function tests including spirometry and single breath diffusion test.
On successful completion of the course and qualification gained, the applicant will work to complete all local competency levels for the role and will then move to a permanent Healthcare Science Associate practitioners’ role. There is an expectation that you will work for the Trust for 2 years upon successful completion of the qualification.
If you would like to be part of our friendly and committed team, we would love to hear from you.
