Job Description - B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Jandakot (328010)
Position Summary
The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer based in Perth, Australia is responsible for the day-to-day tasks assigned to them by the Chief Engineer and the standard of maintenance for which they certify, ensuring that the company’s policies, procedures and practices are applied to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient operation.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Comply with and maintain an understanding of the Textron Aviation manuals suite and the procedures contained within it;
2. Ensure adherence to the policies, procedures, and instructions published by the Company;
3. Hold safety as a core value and contribute to a zero harm and incident/injury-free environment;
4. Report all safety-related matters in accordance with the Safety Management System (SMS) and make recommendations to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency;
5. Supervise unqualified maintenance personnel;
6. Ensure all aircraft-related certification paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with deadlines;
7. Ensure all Maintenance Releases issued are in accordance with release instructions;
8. Provide clear, concise, and accurate written reports in logs, inspection reports, and parts identification documents;
9. Perform diagnostic and mechanical duties on one or more aircraft models, involving diagnosis of malfunctions and necessary repairs;
10. Have sound knowledge of annual and progressive inspection procedures set forth in aircraft maintenance manuals;
11. Perform duties consistent with the highest standards of safety for maintaining aircraft in airworthy condition;
12. Certify maintenance activities within delegated authority;
13. Observe and comply with all standards and procedures contained within the Civil Aviation Safety Authority Regulations;
14. Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard;
15. Participate in aircraft recovery when necessary;
16. Service and clean hangar, tools, and ground equipment as directed by the Chief Engineer;
17. Obey all lawful instructions given by the Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager.
Qualifications
The person appointed as Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer shall:
1. Hold a B2 CASA license on at least one category of aircraft for which the job applies;
2. Have strong leadership and communication skills;
3. Have strong written and verbal communication skills;
4. Be acceptable to the Chief Engineer and Engineering Manager.
