About this Role:
This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy café environment and enjoys both kitchen and front of house operations. The candidate will work in the main front of house with some operational kitchen shifts when needed. % split of time in the kitchen v FOH (30/70)
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead & manage the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food and preparation.
2. Creating and updating menus, working with the current kitchen team.
3. Overseeing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
4. Creating & managing the kitchen rota, ensuring efficient staffing levels.
5. Maintaining Food & Hygiene standards, maintaining and updating SOPs.
Front Of House Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the Front of House manager in daily operations.
2. Handling bookings, customer complaints, and customer feedback professionally.
3. Assisting with cost control, budgeting, and business growth strategies.
4. Lead & manage our onsite outside takeaway bar, over the summer period.
About You:
1. Proven experience as a head or senior chef with leadership skills.
2. Experience in front of house management, with excellent customer service abilities.
3. Strong knowledge of kitchen management, stock control, and health and safety guidelines.
4. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced working environment.
5. Passion for food and creativity.
6. Great communication and problem-solving skills.
7. Due to the location, transport is essential – there are no local buses in our area.
8. An interest/experience in events.
