The Role We're looking for a Project Success Director to take ownership of the successful delivery of a portfolio of digital projects within our strategic growth accounts. Joining our London based Delivery team, you will build strong working relationships with clients, delivery teams and sales managers, supporting new proposals and opportunities during pre-sales, and subsequently leading won opportunities through each phase of the project lifecycle. Managing up to 5 Project Success Managers, imparting best practice, coaching and mentoring through weekly 1:1s. In addition, you will be accountable for both your own and your direct report project KPI’s pertaining to scope, budget and quality, whilst overseeing the projects that your direct reports deliver, you will be responsible for the delivery of larger scale, bespoke digital projects across your strategic accounts. What You'll Be Doing Delivery Leadership Senior delivery leader within the organization, representing the IDX delivery function to external clients and internal stakeholders Delivery escalation point for clients, direct reports, and your project delivery teams. Demonstrating an ability to handle project risk/crisis and lead course corrective actions through to completion. Partner effectively with sales, bid management, offshore delivery and client service teams to ensure process is followed and client satisfaction is at the centre of project delivery Maintain accountability of deliverable quality and ensure mitigating options are created against projects risks and issues across your portfolio of projects Project Management Produce and review statement of work (SOW) for a variety of large, bespoke digital projects within your strategic accounts and individual projects Produce and maintain a risk, assumption, issue and dependency (RAID) log Produce and maintain project plan and resource forecast (Schedule) Document project health (status) on a regular cadence (Quality) Maintain project margin throughout the project lifecycle (Budget) Maintain project scope through effective change control Maintain quarterly project management KPI targets for your portfolio of projects Chair project meetings including kick-offs, status and retrospectives Ensure project team and client have clarity on scope, schedule and change process Provide clear and regular communication to ensure continual team and client alignment on delivery status, milestones, risks and issues. Line Management Line management of up to 5 x project success managers with weekly 1:1’s Set and support achievement of SMART objectives, manage performance appraisals, development plans and performance improvement process if applicable Motivate, coach and mentor direct reports toward successful outcomes Delivery process and toolset usage governance of direct reports Accountable for quarterly project KPI achievement of direct reports Process Leadership Govern project team adherence to delivery process and associated meetings Ensure team and client understand and follow selected project methodology Ensure all timesheets are submitted on a weekly basis Ensure close collaboration with PMO function with regard to resource forecasting Ensure correct toolsets and templates are being used by delivery team Ensure delivery completion process is followed with regard to project transition Ownership of process improvements and refinement where applicable About You Relevant and substantial experience as a project director in a client facing environment with cumulative budgets of £5m Relevant experience of leading delivery of large, bespoke, multi-faceted digital projects utilizing geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams Relevant experience of managing 3rd party suppliers and vendors Relevant experience of line managing a team of 4 project managers against KPIs Relevant experience defining and implementing process at a company level Relevant experience running and managing pitches Very strong team and client leadership skills, using assertiveness where required Very strong client and stakeholder management skills Very strong negotiation and facilitation skills Strong numerical, written and oral presentation skills Defining scope, budget and quality assurance skills Highly process orientated with strong attention to detail Ability to recommend or adapt delivery methodology for project type Excellent working knowledge of project management tools Consistency in approach, best practices and team management Formal project management qualification such as Prince 2 practitioner Formal agile qualification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Ability to lead pitch for large-scale, high complexity projects alongside a sales owner Why IDX?
