Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on practical and experiential learning. Develop and implement individualized learning plans (ILPs) tailored to the needs of each student. Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and student well-being. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting lessons accordingly. Work closely with colleagues to create a holistic approach to student development, both academically and emotionally. Promote positive behavior management strategies and provide pastoral support for students as needed. Ensure that all students are provided with the support necessary to thrive in their education.Ideal Candidate: Qualified Science Teacher with QTS (or equivalent). Experience teaching in a secondary school setting, ideally with SEMH or alternative provision experience (preferred, but not essential). Strong subject knowledge in Science and a creative approach to delivering engaging lessons. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching students with emotional and mental health challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A passion for making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
