Job Title: Finance Manager

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
1. Leading the project accounting team and supporting monthly programme reviews
2. Overseeing the customer budgetary reporting process
3. Working with functional stakeholders to deliver quality project financial information for internal and customer budgetary processes
4. Submitting Single Source Regulations Office submissions
5. Managing the relationship with the Defence and Equipment Support customer team
6. Adhering to the relevant elements of Naval Ships processes and applying Finance Policies and Financial Controls
7. Providing support to the Finance Business Partner to leverage opportunity and mitigate risk
Your skills and experiences:
1. Fully qualified accountant, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
2. High level of commercial/business acumen
3. Ability to influence, challenge, and engage stakeholders at various levels
4. Long-term contracting experience within defence or a similar comparable industry
5. Prior use of systems such as SAP or similar

The Naval Ships Type 26 Finance team:
The Naval Ships Finance Function aims to provide value-adding, fully integrated business support to project delivery, promoting continuous improvement to inform business decisions and achieve financial objectives. This role supports the delivery of the high-value, business-critical Type 26 contract. The Finance Manager will serve as a key interface with the Type 26 Programme Management team, responsible for inputting essential financial information. This hands-on role offers an exciting opportunity to gain broad financial and project management experience on our largest customer-funded delivery programme, with opportunities for development and progression within a growing, stable, long-term programme.
