Overview
The Studio Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day shoot operations of the studio, ensuring efficient workflows, budget management, and high-quality production output, working closely with the Head of Studio Production & Operations. This role involves coordinating shoots, managing studio resources, optimizing schedules, and collaborating with creative and production teams to deliver content on time and within budget. The Studio Production Manager will be a key link between multiple departments, managing the end to end shoot process.
The Studio Production Manager also plays a key role in maintaining and improving studio processes, and maximizing in-house production capabilities. Strong organizational, budgeting, and leadership skills are essential to a ensure smooth and productive way of working.
The Studio Production Manager will manage and support the Midweight and Junior Shoot Producer, along with the Studio Assistant, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their roles, structured workflows, and the necessary resources to contribute to the studio’s success.
Location: 4 -5 days per week based at our North Acton Office.
What You Will Do
* Work closely with the Head of Studio Production & Operations to ensure the studio process runs efficiently. Driving speed to site within the agreed costs, delivering assets of a premium quality.
* Manage Midweight Shoot Producer, Junior Shoot Producer and Studio Assistant, holding regular 1:1’s to manage their development.
* Support the Head of Studio Production with key operational elements, including high-level budget management and mapping, critical planning and strategic decision making to ensure the studios run efficiently and cost effectively while meeting business objectives.
* Handle multiple projects simultaneously, from optioning crew and project planning to post production.
* Host pre production meetings ahead of shoots with wider team, as well as wash up meetings.
* Create draft shoot plans for monthly drops and budgets.
* Liaising with internal teams where necessary e.g. Samples team to use product samples for photoshoots etc., Casting team on model selection for model shoots and Styling team for outfitting sessions.
* Liaising with multiple stakeholders to define scope e.g. #images, handover deadlines, technical requirements e.g. file formats.
* Working closely with Art Direction team on creative requirements on talent, crew, props, etc.
* Sourcing new suppliers & talent and suggesting news ways of working to improve quality and cost effectiveness.
* Manage pre-production, production and post production stage, including contracts, licensing agreements, usage allowances and invoices.
* Produce high quality photography/video assets as per briefs across all Boden brands.
* Deliver shoots ensuring all logistics, creative requirements and costs are as planned and sit in line with critical path.
* Build good working relationships with agents, talent and suppliers, whilst continually seeking to negotiate best terms and value for money for Boden.
* Lead on-set production and logistics, maintaining checklists, call sheets, schedules, coordinating travel, accommodation where needed and catering.
* Attending shoots, ensuring all goes as smoothly as possible.
* Create budgets for each shoot/series of shoots based on guidelines.
* Track & report on spend by shoot. Ensure right balance between commercial and creative needs in order to deliver to Boden standards.

* Experience of handling large budgets.
* Knowledge in resource management and scheduling.
* High level of organisation.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proven studio production/operations experience.
* Thrive in an environment where things move quickly and you have to collaborate with other teams to execute brilliantly at pace.
* Experience managing a small and effective team.
* The ability to build strong and effective relationships across our creative teams.
* Ability to collaborate at all levels combined with the ability to listen and problem solve.
