Facilities Assistant

Salary up to £25,529 per annum
The role of the Facilities Assistant is to assist the London Facilities Manager in ensuring AD Education UK buildings and grounds are safe, appropriately prepared and fit for purpose. Ensuring the building's equipment and teaching equipment are well presented, functional and ready for use when required will help in providing an outstanding facility in which staff and students can work and study.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Building and Grounds Maintenance
o Conducting routine building checks to identify and address maintenance issues.
o Assisting with minor building repairs and liaising with contractors for more complex works.
2. Equipment Management
o Ensuring teaching and building equipment are in working order and well-maintained.
o Managing inventory and stock control for supplies and consumables.
3. Compliance and Record Keeping
o Supporting Health and Safety compliance by conducting checks and maintaining records.
o Assisting with security measures, including opening/closing buildings and managing access.
4. Contractor and Cleaning Oversight
o Coordinating with external contractors to ensure timely and quality services.
o Supervising cleaning standards and ensuring cleanliness aligns with institutional needs.
5. Administrative Support
o Purchasing supplies and maintaining accurate records of orders and expenses.
o Keeping detailed logs of maintenance schedules, safety checks, and compliance reports.
The role of the Facilities Assistant, as outlined, serves as a crucial support to the London Facilities Manager, ensuring AD Education UK’s buildings and grounds meet operational and safety standards.
