The salary paid will be dependent on the successful candidate’s qualification.
If the candidate has a L3 Teaching Assistant Diploma qualification (or an alternate, relevant qualification at L3 diploma or higher), the grade paid will be 3/4 (scale points 5-10, scale point 5 FTE £28,521, actual annual salary £10,948)
All other successful candidates will be paid according to grade 1C/3 (scale points 2-6, scale point 2 FTE £27,345, actual annual £10,496).
LEO Academy Trust is seeking to appoint highly skilled and motivated Teaching Assistants to support classes, small groups and pupils on a 1:1 basis. Applicants will be supporting teaching and learning in school. The duties will include assisting with classes, small groups and 1:1 with SEND pupils.

There will be an emphasis on helping in the classrooms across the year groups but the list below will offer an idea of what else is to be expected, although it is not exhaustive.
Work closely with staff in assisting in the day-to-day running of the school.
Support groups of children with their learning under the guidance of a teacher
Support individual children e.g. special needs, children needing additional support
Provide supervisory support during break time.
Accompany classes on day and residential trips.
Provide reprographic support and mount work ready to display.
You will have:
Experience of supporting the teacher with a variety of activities in the class
Experience of supporting children in the Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
Up to date knowledge and expertise in the Foundation Stage/ Key Stage 1 / Key Stage 2 and supporting children in class and in the school
A commitment to provide a broad, balanced curriculum to meet the needs of all the children
Knowledge of SEN Code of Practice
An understanding of how children learn
Be familiar with and able to put into practice safeguarding policies and procedures.
An understanding of safeguarding
An ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a variety of adults and children.
A concern and understanding for children
The ability to establish good relationships
The ability to use initiative when necessary
An awareness of Equal Opportunities
