Senior Planning Officer - Major Developments We are seeking an experienced Planning Officer to join a dynamic team working on a significant expansion project. This role involves handling complex, large-scale planning applications, including a major airport expansion to 15 million passengers per annum (mppa) and associated operational developments. Key Responsibilities: Support the Lead Planning Officer at all stages of the project, deputising when required. Act as the case officer for a separate terminal extension application. Assist in assessing applications, considering material planning factors, consultation responses, and preparing reports. Provide pre-application advice and contribute to the determination process. Engage with councillors, stakeholders, businesses, and the public to ensure smooth project progression. Key Requirements: Degree in Town & Country Planning or a related field. Significant experience in processing large-scale residential and commercial planning applications and appeals. Membership of RTPI (or equivalent professional qualification). Strong technical understanding of planning standards, legal responsibilities, and relevant processes. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
