* Undertake functional design and/orprovide qualification and evidence for acceptance, fitness forpurpose, legislative requirements, andsafety.
* Obtain confirmation beyond reasonable doubt by review,surveillance and audit that those assumptions, underpinningengineering data, analysis methodologies, and interpretation ofresults have beenvalidated.
* Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders asrequired ensuring that their requirements are adequately supportedand that their needs are fully considered and incorporated whereappropriate andagreed.
* Undertake technical reviews, verifies and signsengineering designs
Producing written function safety justifications Managing theproduction of a functional Safety Case to a defined schedule,reporting to a Safety Engineering Manager
Your skills andexperiences: Essential:
* Chartered Engineer or working toward chartership orequivalentexperience
* Experiencedin Industrial ControlsSystems
* TUVFunctional SafetyExpert
* Experiencedon both software andhardware
* IEC 61508or IEC61511
Desirable:
* Strong knowledge of CyberSafety
* Understanding of DefenceStandards
* Previousexperience with the Defence Industry (E.gMoD)
* Submarine Engineering experience (Naval orIndustry)
