We have an exciting opportunity for a Buying Admin Assistant to assist the Buyer and Assistant Buyer in all aspects of administration within the Department.
This is a hybrid role working at least 2 days in the office and the remainder from home.
Accountabilities
1. Maintain an effective administration system that will control all evaluation, photographic and, if required, sealed samples.
2. Input and maintain an effective and accurate merchandise file to EKR and matrix systems.
3. In the absence of the Assistant Buyer, ensure departmental and inter-departmental communication is maintained.
4. Ensure all aspects of departmental administration are maintained to a high standard including minute taking during meetings.
5. Housekeeping of department.
6. Co-ordinate the despatch and collection/re-storing of samples for shoots and PR, chasing where necessary. Ensure all samples can be assessed in the absence of the AB.
7. Arrange for samples to be sent to supplier/PR.
8. To support the selection of the product range under the guidance of the Assistant Buyer which maximises sale opportunities and anticipates and exceeds customer needs.
9. Prepare samples appropriately for meetings.
10. Assist the Assistant Buyer in compiling the product brief and in range selection throughout each season.
11. Attend fit sessions with Buyer/AB and QA.
12. Set-up, manage and follow through all buying administration systems and procedures to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.
13. Prepare and approve, with support, lab dips/strike offs and handlooms. Update suppliers of approvals and update the team on any issues which will affect product intake.
14. Maintain/establish the department filing system with support.

Required Skills
1. MS Office, especially Excel.
2. Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent.
3. Excellent organisational skills.
4. Ability to prioritise effectively whilst working at pace.
5. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
6. Flexible and positive attitude and approach to work.
7. An interest in pursuing a career in retail buying.
8. Able to commute to Bradford city centre.
9. Attend supplier visits.
