The role The role holder will influence and initiate the growth of apprenticeship and graduate programmes that align with People and Workforce strategies. Operating in diverse and highly regulated markets, this role will contribute to shaping Bupa’s future by leading a team of Apprenticeship specialists to deliver Bupa’s apprenticeship programmes. These programmes will facilitate the development of knowledge, skills, and behaviour across a wide range of job families and roles. The programmes will drive employee retention, development, and engagement. You’ll help us make health happen by Develop systems, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the recruitment, delivery and support of apprentices, to make it as simple as possible for services and departments to recruit apprentices. Define processes and governance that are compliant whilst driving efficiency and the ability to maintain flexibility in learning methods Manage apprenticeship levy governance board, presenting to senior internal customers and leading steering committees Attending relevant business service working groups and steering committees to influence and advise about all apprenticeship topics Oversee the design and implementation of procedures and processes that ensure high quality support services for all learners. To lead the development of reporting to better support, engage and inform internal customers and to track attendance, engagement, and success. Drive and manage the next phase of expansion in Bupa apprenticeships, aligned to business unit workforce and people plans Manage end to end graduate programmes and provide expertise for continuous improvement Lead procurement processes to identify and onboard new training providers Oversee the performance of external providers in delivering education components of the apprenticeship programme, responding quickly to any performance issues identified by service lines and ensuring a high-quality service from providers Responsible as a delegated budget holder, including raise requisitions and authorise invoices in relation to apprenticeship Maintain accurate recording of all income and expenditure Partner with Learning Leads and HR Business Partners to redesign roles to make them suitable for apprenticeships Apply expert project and programme management skills to oversee the delivery of simultaneous, multiple apprenticeship programmes across many functions / business units Bupa contact and champion for external requests for information / interaction with trailblazer and employer groups Maintain subject matter expertise and a view of best practice to keep up to date with developments in the HE sectors to inform planning, policy and service development Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role : Experience of leading a centre of excellence in a matrix organisation Knowledge of higher education funding policy and options Negotiating large provider contracts Previous senior exposure in a training or learning and development role. Experience of writing training materials and delivering training. Experience of building programmes of work. Knowledge of the end-to-end learning cycle.
