About the role Whitelake is growing, and because of that, we are looking for a trainee recruitment consultant or recruitment consultant who is looking for an opportunity that can offer more. With a sister company – Cityscape Recruitment - that specialises in white-collar recruitment across the whole construction and civil engineering sector (and has done so for over 15 years), we can offer you the link to established relationships so you can create brand new trades & labour links in a number of different areas. You won’t be held to just one sector of specialism. You won’t be held to just one geographical area. You can network and develop leads that are yours to deliver on with subcontractors, main contractors and developers throughout the UK and even abroad. The current Whitelake team contains very experienced consultants who can not only provide connections but will work with you to grow your skill set and push you to succeed. The role will be predominantly office based with opportunities to visit sites for client and operative meetings. Rewards and benefits We base salaries on the experience and ability of each professional we meet but offer beyond the typical level in the industry. You can expect a basic salary from £26,000 to £30,000 plus commission. In addition to basic salary and commission, we offer generous quarterly bonuses, quarterly target-based office events, regular team social events, ongoing perks and smaller benefits inside the office. We reward our staff so they are motivated to do the best they can and then they see the rewards for their effort. Requirements Successful applicants will ideally have prior experience in blue-collar construction or civil engineering recruitment. However, we are willing to meet with applicants who have proven recruitment experience that is not within just this area, for example, those in a resourcer/trainee role who are looking for the next step. Blue-collar experience is ideal, but white-collar consultants will still very much be considered. We are also keen to consider individuals who are qualified in construction or civil engineering or have previously worked in the sectors we specialise in. The market knowledge and understanding gained from this background offers a unique starting point for a potentially excellent career in construction recruitment. Due to the operative talent pool we work with, a European Language is preferable, as well as a UK driving licence. Most importantly a successful Recruitment Consultant will be self-motivated, have a confident personality, be willing to work with a variety of people, be conscientious and show strong organisational skills
