The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Application Engineer – Connected Body Shop, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
1. Leading multiple efforts such translating customer needs into product development enhancements, developing expertise within the organization, and helping various stakeholders implement new smart hardware & software solutions into the collision repair industry.
2. Collaborating with product development teams, channel partners and business teams to provide practical solutions to our customers.
3. Identifying future business opportunities, product improvement needs and issues preventing commercialization.
4. Supporting and troubleshooting concerns for sales professionals & end-users with installation and onboarding activities of the RepairStack Performance Solution.
5. Developing content and training key stakeholders regularly as the RepairStack software and program evolves. The training content is tailored to various audiences, including internal, distribution partners and collision repair professionals.
6. Ability to self-start and work in dynamic and evolving role.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
7. A technical diploma (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution or 5+ years of previous experience in the collision repair industry as a supplier, end-user, channel partner or manufactures representative
8. role in a private, public, government or military environment
9. Current, valid driver’s license
10. Excellent communication & organizational skills (written, verbal, listening and presentation)
11. Excellent English (written and spoken)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
12. Previous experience serving industrial markets such as manufacturing, OEM, distribution, collision repair or insurance industry
13. Previous hardware / software experience with automotive calibration & diagnostic equipment and inventory management solutions
14. Passion for problem solving with an entrepreneurial spirit and track record on working in dynamic environments.
15. Previous experience in application engineering, technical service, technical training and/or technical sales within industrial markets
16. Ability to efficiently analyze, problem solve and implement solutions
17. Proven understanding of using data to assist in technical sales strategies
