About the Role
Accordia Care is looking for motivated individuals who want a rewarding role as part of a service that makes a difference. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will join our team supporting service users in their homes in Epsom, Surrey. We specialise in providing person-centred care for adults with a forensic mental health background, challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and autism to enable them to play a meaningful part within their community. You will be responsible for the delivery of outstanding care to the people we support.

Qualifications
* Experience working with people with mental health issues, autism, challenging behaviours, and learning disabilities.
* Comfortable with restraint techniques or willing to be trained in them.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong values and a person-centred approach.
* Must be able to work shifts to meet the needs of the service.
* Enthusiastic, resilient, energetic, and proactive individuals.
* Ability to engage in physical activities like biking, fishing, and swimming with the person they support.
* A commitment to personal and professional development.
* Resilience and drive to overcome challenges.
* Empathy and understanding towards the people you support.
* Passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism.
* Prepared to work with individuals who may present challenging behaviours.
* Experience in forensic mental health, supported living, or residential settings.
* Evidence of NVQ qualification in social care or Care Certificate (training can be provided).
* Knowledge of diabetes or experience working with individuals with diabetes (training can be provided).
* Valid driving licence.
* Live within a 30-minute commute/drive to Epsom.
* Fully paid 2-week induction and clinical training.
* PMVA training.
* Fully paid DBS check to start employment, with an annual subscription to the DBS Update Service.
* 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays (pro-rata).
