Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Pharmacy Department Meadowbrook cluster for two Rotational full-time Dispensing Pharmacy Assistants to work alongside the pharmacy team supporting the dispensary and wards across multiple sites based in Salford, Wythenshawe, and Trafford. Duties include dispensing of medication, the supply of stocks to wards and clinics, carrying out audits, receipt of goods in, and general housekeeping.
You should have a good standard of Maths and English and be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent (Dispensing modules as a minimum).
It is advisable to research the locations to better understand the impact on travel and to apply as soon as possible as the post may close early if sufficient applications are received.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Visiting wards for stock supplies and in-patient top-ups (including secure units)
2. Dispensing of medication including supplies for clozapine clinics
3. Answering the phone/hatch
4. Stock rotation and date checking
5. Preparing for scheduled delivery runs
6. Receipting and putting away daily orders
7. Drug returns
8. Audits

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
* 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (Dispensing)
* 3 GCSEs including Maths and English
* Currently working in a pharmacy dispensing environment
* Experience in a hospital pharmacy
Level 3
* Good level of understanding of computer packages and adequate keyboard skills
* Use of Ascribe pharmacy package
* Experience of clozapine
