An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our haematology/oncology teams in UHD to continue to run our hugely successful Lymph Node Accelerated Pathway as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. The aim of this 12 month fixed term post will be to continue to identify and manage the patient caseload with the ability to audit the workload to support future developments across UHD. This role supports the Faster Diagnosis Framework developed by the NHS England Cancer Programme .The role will provide high quality, specialist, expert nursing care and support for patients and their carers during the diagnostic period.The successful candidate will influence all related aspects of care and management of patients and deliver individualised and personalised direct patient care.The ability to communicate with a wide range of health care professionals is key to this role.To work in conjunction with the management team and senior doctors to ensure the provision of high-quality evidence based patient care.Base Location: Poole/Bournemouth HospitalInterview Date: TBC Main duties of the job Provision of specialist, high quality, expert nursing care and support for patients and their carers during the diagnostic period, ensuring timely and appropriate investigations suspected into their pathological lymph nodes and appropriate referral to specialities as required.For further information please see the job description.
