Do you have the commitment and positive values to make a difference in the lives of people living in a supported living service in Cookridge, North Leeds?
Creative Support is a non-profit organization that provides high-quality, person-centered social care services for people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and other needs. Our Hall Lane supported living service in Leeds offers person-centered support to young adults who have learning disabilities, some of whom are on the autistic spectrum and have complex needs.
We are looking for calm, resourceful, and energetic individuals who are well-motivated, hardworking, and eager to join our friendly team. You will provide person-centered care and support, demonstrating positive communication and engagement, as well as unconditional positive regard for the people we support. You must possess the maturity to work within a positive behavior support framework, accept responsibility, and grow in confidence as a skilled practitioner. Following agreed guidelines and working positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos is essential.
You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role, including support with personal care, domestic tasks, and administrative duties as directed by the manager. You will be lone working during the night with minimal support, so while prior experience in this field is beneficial, it is crucial that you can demonstrate the ability to work independently. Confidence in decision-making and proactivity in ensuring the house is CQC compliant at all times is required. Flexibility in carrying out tasks and duties to support the smooth running of the service is also necessary.
The service is situated on the edge of the countryside overlooking the local golf course, with easy access to commuting to the center of Leeds. It is easily accessible by car, bus routes from Leeds center, and from Horsforth train station. We can offer 20 hours per week.
This role provides unique and challenging opportunities, bringing great job satisfaction to those looking to make a positive difference in the lives of others. We provide relevant training, including accredited health and social care diplomas through our training academy. You will be required to work flexibly on a rota. In addition to opportunities for personal and career development, we offer good conditions of service and a supportive, hands-on management culture.
This position is suitable for individuals committed to making a positive difference, including experienced care workers, graduates, and those seeking a stimulating career path into social care. You can choose to be paid on a weekly or monthly basis.
