Finance Business Partner
Location: Stone, Staffordshire.

Why are we hiring a Finance Business Partner? Reporting to the Head of FP&A and working closely with the Commercial team, this is a pivotal role within Group Finance. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a fast-paced expanding business, which operates in numerous countries. A key focus of this role will be to produce a revenue forecast and to build a good working relationship between Finance and both Commercial and Delivery. This role will suit an individual who is commercially minded and inquisitive in the work they do while working to meet key deadlines and reporting milestones.
What to expect?
1. Responsible for the consolidation of the Revenue forecast:
1. Work with Commercial to produce a booking profile for use in the forecast
2. Review forecast and challenge Commercial on the bookings
3. Work with Delivery to produce a forecast of backlog item and new services
4. Review forecast and challenge Delivery on the revenue forecast
5. Populate or assist with populating Adaptive with forecast revenue details
2. Responsible for the third-party cost forecast:
1. When creating the revenue forecast, work with Commercial and Delivery on the exact products we are selling and if they require us paying a royalty fee etc.
2. Work with both Commercial and Delivery on if we require a contractor to help implement the opportunities being forecast.
3. Assist the Financial Account in making sure we have the above costs covered in the forecast and the justification is valid.
3. Responsible for analysis of the forecast to previous versions:
1. Create reports bridging the changes in revenue using the data provided by Commercial and Delivery
2. Work with both Commercial and Delivery to produce commentary for the above bridging
3. Ad hoc analysis as required
4. Responsible for analysis of actuals vs Plan/forecast:
1. Provide accurate and detailed analysis of the variances within the revenue types
2. Create reports to help build and explain the analysis
3. Present the findings to the Commercial, Delivery and Leadership teams
4. Ad hoc analysis as required
5. Assist in the production of the actuals:
1. Highlight misstatements and correct in month if timing allows
2. Work closely with the management accounts team to make sure the postings each month are in line with expectations.
6. Assisting with ad hoc analysis requested by Leadership team and Archimed
7. Assisting with the administration of the Groups forecasting system, Adaptive Insights
8. Adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all work is handled securely, professionally and diligently.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
1. ACCA / CIMA qualified
2. 3+ years' experience in a financial analysis role
3. Proficient with Microsoft Excel
4. Good technical accounting background
5. Sector experience desirable but not essential (but must be willing to learn and adapt quickly)
