An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Assistant Duke of Edinburgh Manager to work alongside our Duke of Edinburgh Manager at King Edward VI School. The Duke of Edinburgh programme is hugely valued at the school and plays a big part in the co-curricular programme. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person with a love of outdoor education and a belief in what these experiences can offer an individual. There are high levels of participation at Bronze and Silver levels at the School, with some pupils also achieving the Gold award. We are ideally looking for a September start.
Due to the nature of this role, flexibility is required. The role will involve working at weekends and during school holidays. Previous experience in a similar role with knowledge of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, assessment and management system would be desirable. A mountain leader qualification, up-to-date first aid qualification, and a clean driving licence with category D1 entitlement (drivers who passed their car test before 1st January 1997), or a current PSV licence would be an advantage, but training can be provided.
King Edward’s offers a range of benefits including a free lunch, free parking, Health Cash Plan, contributory pension scheme, onsite gym, and a reduction in school fees.

CVs are not an acceptable alternative to the school application form.
