We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Parking Services team as a Team Lead – Parking Operations. Your role: The main purpose of this role is leading the Parking Operations team in line with the responsibilities set by the Parking Services Manager. You will lead on a comprehensive penalty charge notice (PCN) and permit processing service to legislatively defined deadlines and standards. Lead on recommendations for PCN cancellations following consideration of the evidence submitted by an appellant against the Council’s evidence. Assist the Parking Services Manager with the delivery of an efficient, effective and transparent service as it relates to mobility and parking services. The role involves carrying out a range of functions selected from the key responsibilities, under instruction having regard to the qualifications held and experience incurred to date. You will act as a ‘change agent’ fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence. What you will need: The candidate will have knowledge of Council Services and Council procedures and a good knowledge of The Highway Code and The Blue Badge Scheme: rights and responsibilities in England booklet. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with partners, clients, customers, complainants, managers and staff and be able to lead and motivate a team. Having general management training and development is essential for this role, alongside promoting positive communication across the organisation, encourage constructive relationships and develop staff feedback methods.
