The Role
As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering a dynamic art curriculum that inspires students to explore their creativity and refine their artistic skills. Your role will involve both practical and theoretical lessons, encouraging students to express themselves through various media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality art lessons across a broad range of mediums.
2. Fostering Creativity: Encourage students to experiment with different artistic techniques and ideas.
3. Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues within the Art Department and across the school.
5. Extra-Curricular Activities: Support and lead extra-curricular initiatives such as art clubs and exhibitions.
What We Are Looking For
1. Qualifications: A degree in Art or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
2. Experience: Experience teaching Art at GCSE and A-level is preferred.
