About The Role
Broadstairs College are seeking an Estates Assistant to join its existing Estates Team.
You may have experience as a handyman, grounds person, caretaker or facilities assistant, and if so we want to hear from you.
As an Estates Assistant, you will play an active key role in the team, the position covers a wide range of services normally associated with Estate and building management including:
1. Unlock/Lock duty of buildings including arming and dis-arming of intruder alarm systems.
2. Building checks.
3. Fire alarm and emergency light testing.
4. Minor repairs and maintenance throughout the Estate.
5. Ground maintenance.
6. Be a first aider.
7. Act as a keyholder and part of the on-call rota.
Working hours will be 05:00 and 13:00 Monday to Thursday and 05:00 to 12:30 Fridays.

About You
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious member to our team. The successful candidate will be able to work on your own or as part of a team, flexible in your approach to tasks and have effective organisation skills and ability to work under pressure.
You will have experience, knowledge, or ability to learn areas around Estate and building maintenance, have good DIY skills, have a good understanding of health and safety, fire alarm and emergency light testing and record keeping.
Whilst experience would be an advantage what is more important is your enthusiasm.
The successful candidate will ideally live within 20 minutes of reaching the campus.
