Key Responsibilities
A National Account Manager (NAM) in the on-trade channel at Au Vodka is responsible for managing our key national accounts. It’s all about nurturing and building relationships, with a strong focus on developing and executing strategies to maximise revenue, enhance brand visibility, and ensure customer satisfaction.
We are looking for a NAM already in the on-trade or an NAE looking for the next step up. This role will be reporting into our National On-Trade Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
* Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in national accounts. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement strategic sales plans tailored to the unique needs of each account – working closely with the National On-Trade Lead. Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and develop strategies to capitalise on them.
* Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive positioning. Analyse sales data and performance metrics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
* Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment on promotions, product launches, and pricing strategies. Collaborate with field sales teams to support execution of strategies at the local level.
* Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and agreements with key accounts to secure favourable terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage renewals.
* Performance Monitoring: Track account performance against sales targets and KPIs, providing regular reports to senior management. Implement corrective actions as needed to achieve sales goals.
* Training and Support: This role will also involve the direct management and support of a National Account Executive.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven experience in account management or sales, preferably within the on-trade sector.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyse data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills.
* Good knowledge or interest in event management and the alcohol industry.
* Ability to work well under pressure, manage your own workload and meet tight deadlines.
* Impeccable organisational skills.
* Self-motivated and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Creativity.
* Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence wider teams.
