Center for Life Management - Clinical Supervisor, Adult Department - SIGN ON BONUS!
$5,000 sign on bonus for applicants who are hired for this position; 1/3 at hire, 1/3 at 6 months and 1/3 at 12 months of successful employment!
Center for Life Management (CLM) provides the area's most comprehensive array of outpatient mental health services for adults and elders. Our multi-disciplined treatment team works with individuals ages 18+ who experience severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring developmental disabilities and substance use disorders. The Adult Clinical Supervisor oversees clinical and administrative functions of designated clinical staff. Additionally, they provide outpatient clinical services including diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, crisis management, and therapy. This is a full time, 40 hour per week position.
Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties
1. Provide new staff with orientation and ongoing clinical and administrative training opportunities to team;
2. Provide formal, regularly scheduled supervision and supervisory support as needed;
3. Provide ongoing feedback on performance and complete formal performance reviews;
4. Work in conjunction with the Director of Adult Clinical Services and the Director of Operations to ensure that service delivery is efficient and effective by developing methods to meet desired client outcomes, productivity, and budget variances;
5. Provide set hours of billable service each week;
6. Ensure self and team members:
7. Provide individual diagnostic assessment to determine client’s strengths, needs, resources, and objectives;
8. Formulate treatment plans specifying presenting problems, objectives, interventions, and desired outcomes;
9. Complete assessments for eligibility determination for State funded services;
10. Provide individual and group psychotherapy (INDPSY, GRPPSY) to address behaviors and symptoms that interfere with functioning and goal achievement;
11. Provide Crisis Intervention (CI) when clients experience acute exacerbation of symptoms to ensure their safety within the home and/or community;
12. Work collaboratively with other treatment team members, natural supports, and external providers to ensure a wrap-around approach is provided for continuity of client care;
13. Serve on appropriate committees, both internal and external, as determined by supervisor;
14. Function professionally and in a manner that protects the integrity, confidentiality, and rights of all clients;
15. Promote a positive work environment and culture that fosters cooperation, teamwork, professional growth and development to benefit CLM staff, clients, families, and community partners;
16. Execute all required services and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies, federal standards, and state statutes;
17. Adhere to Center’s Code of Ethics;
18. Represent CLM in a professional and appropriate manner in all settings;
19. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Master’s degree (Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family, Clinical Mental Health Counseling) with licensure (LICSW, LMFT, LCMHC, LMHC, MLADC) in mental health field;
2. Four years of full-time clinical experience post Master’s degree;
3. Two years of full-time clinical experience post licensure;
4. Experience working with co-occurring disorders preferred;
5. Previous experience providing family therapy and working within a multi-disciplinary team;
6. Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment in routine, urgent, and emergent clinical situations;
7. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of all Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook, TEAMS, etc.);
8. Ability to document effectively and efficiently in course of clinical work;
9. Ability to navigate an electronic health record;
10. Advanced documentation skills and familiarity with data reports/spreadsheets;
11. Ability and desire to work as part of a clinical team while also able to be self-directed and motivated with minimal supervision;
12. Ability to acquire and effectively practice new clinical skills as needed according to evolving agency needs/services;
13. Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills that guide the implementation and sustainability of program services and foster workforce development;
14. Demonstrate effective communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
A majority of the work will be in the office and/or remotely via telehealth. Manual dexterity is needed to use computers. The ability to sit for extended periods of time is required. Must be able to flex schedule to accommodate needs of clients and staff. Reliable internet access is required.
