About the Role – Civils Supervisor The client is looking for a Civils Supervisor to manage and oversee all construction activities related to underground cable installation and replacement across the SSE area in Scotland. This is a key leadership role ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to high standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage underground cable installation and replacement work Conduct site surveys before, during, and after projects, reporting findings to the Project Manager Plan works within the electrical/civils sector Efficiently allocate staff and resources to meet project deadlines Compile job packs and ensure teams are properly briefed before work begins Submit necessary permits and approvals (PAIs) Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, including CDM regulations Motivate and support field staff to maintain high work standards Manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to project specifications Keep detailed site documentation and report updates to project management Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain project schedules and budgets Provide mentoring and support to junior staff members What We’re Looking For: Experience managing construction sites and field-based staff in LV, HV, substation, and underground works NRSWA certification IOSH – Managing Safety or SMSTS / SSSTS First Aid & Manual Handling qualifications CDM Awareness Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, customers, and project teams Proactive approach to problem-solving and resource management As part of the team, you'll benefit from: Company commercial vehicle Salary sacrifice car scheme (Hybrid/Electric Vehicle) Pension with up to 8% employer contribution Up to 25 days holiday Private Medical Insurance Flexible benefits (Dental Insurance, Gym Memberships, Travel Insurance, Tax-Free Bikes) Employee Assistance Program – 24/7 mental health and well-being support Personal development programme
