Our client focus on designing foundation wear that is comfortable, supportive, and beautiful, and are looking for a part-time/Freelance Senior Designer to work in collaboration with the VP of Product & Sustainability across Product Design and Development. The role will focus on creating commercial, high quality, and innovative products. What the role will entail… Research & Design: Research product trends and feed trends into product range development. Produce mood-boards, sketches, artwork, CADs, sample requests, and colour palettes that align with the product briefs. Work in partnership with the VP of Product & Sustainability, and the VP of Marketing & Growth to create product briefs and oversee design projects from conception to delivery. Work with the Customer Service Manager to identify customer trends in product feedback to feed into the continuous improvement of existing products. Keep a commercial focus on product design through maintaining a deep understanding of the customers and acquiring knowledge from the operations team regarding suppliers, margins, COGS, sales/returns and other commercial metrics. Bring innovation to the company’s product design through expertise in garment construction, cutting-edge/sustainable fabrics, and the impact garments have on both the body and the environment. Product Development: In partnership with the Product Development Manager, build strong and mutually beneficial relationships with the company’s network of factories and suppliers. Work alongside the Garment Technologist and Product Development Manager to ensure the sampling and fitting process runs effectively. Collaborate with the VP of Product & Sustainability to feed into the development of the critical path and the product roadmap. Act as an expert advisor to the Marketing, Creative, and Wholesale teams to optimise the presentation of products in photographs, images and on websites and social channels. Be accountable for the fit of products on photo shoots ensuring the correct product is available for the shoots. This is a part-time/freelance role, 2-3 days a week of work, based in their office in Paddington and looking for someone who can come into the office on a hybrid basis.
