Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday but subject to change)
Salary: £46,148 - £52,809 per annum
Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the experienced team of Cardiac Rehabilitation nurses and exercise therapists at the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Cardiac Rehabilitation programme delivered by the team has current British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR) GREEN certification status.
You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Your vision and leadership will drive you to further develop this service to meet the individual needs of cardiac patients along with their families/carers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as a clinical expert in their area of practice.
2. Manage own caseload of inpatients and outpatients.
3. Work clinically as an autonomous practitioner in virtual and face-to-face Cardiac Rehabilitation clinics.
4. Demonstrate evidence-based physical assessment and clinical evaluation skills.
5. Offer specialist information, advice and support to patients/carers from the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment and follow-up.
6. Implement and evaluate rehabilitation programmes which are integrated as part of the patient's ongoing care in both the hospital and community settings.
Qualifications:
* Registered Healthcare Professional in Physiotherapy and/or Registered Nurse
* Diploma/Degree in nursing or degree in physiotherapy
* Relevant post-graduate level 3 course in cardiac Rehabilitation, cardiology, cardiothoracic nursing or coronary care
Experience:
* Significant experience of working within a Cardiology setting
* Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
