The Electrical Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating electrical projects across our operations within the water network infrastructure, both regionally and nationally. The Electrical Project Manager is crucial to the successful completion of electrical projects, adeptly combining technical knowledge, project management capabilities, and strong communication skills to meet project objectives. The role briefly encompasses the following duties: - Leading project delivery, working closely with the Head of Operations, site teams and MEICA Design Manager to achieve the required project outputs, standards and specifications. Providing technical guidance and expertise in electrical systems and installations. This includes reviewing designs, conducting feasibility studies, and troubleshooting issues that arise during the project. Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the project runs smoothly. This includes safety considerations, compliance with regulations, and addressing any unforeseen challenges. Working with our commercial team to monitor project costs and manage financial resources effectively. Ensuring that all work meets industry standards and regulations, conducting inspections, quality checks, and implementing any necessary corrective actions. Acting as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, ensuring client satisfaction and building working relationships. Efficiently managing resources and liaising with project delivery staff to optimise resource utilisation The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:- Project Management: Proven experience in project management or a similar role. Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Prince 2, AMP qualification, or equivalent. Certification: CSCS Card (black) or relevant industry accreditation, SMSTS training, Compex, full UK driving licence. Regulations Knowledge: Understanding of CDM2015 regulations, especially for the Principal Contractor role along with 18 th edition electrical installation regulations. Health & Safety: IOSH or NEBOSH standard. Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office. Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation. Soft Skills: Influencing skills, organisational skills, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and team collaboration Personality Traits: Assertive, confident, friendly, adaptable, safety-oriented, tolerant of diverse conditions, punctual, flexible.
