To help us, we are seeking a Senior Clinical Programmer to bring their extensive Clinical Programming knowledge and SAS programming experience to our team.
In this exciting role you will be responsible for developing and implementing new studies and supporting clinical database systems. You'll have the opportunity of cross-training into Statistical Programming, where you will combine your existing technical proficiency with a deep knowledge of clinical study lifecycle, and a passion to grow and learn new technologies.
What will you be doing?
1. Lead clinical programmer for multiple studies, specializing in Medidata Rave EDC
2. Design, build, and test EDC systems according to study protocols and data management plans
3. Code, test, and document databases, maintaining programming standards
4. Support development and maintenance of operating procedures and instructions for database development
5. Review Edit Check Specifications (ECS), Data Validation Plans, and CRFs
6. Collaborate with clinical teams to customize EDC systems as needed
7. Mentor junior programmers and conduct training on programming tools
8. Ensure EDC systems meet regulatory standards
9. Validate programming work of junior programmers
10. Contribute to departmental programming standards and procedures
11. Resolve technical issues with EDC system, escalating when necessary
Occasionally as statistical Programmer, you will also work on creating derived datasets, generate Tables, Listings & Figures (TFL’s) and any adhoc reports including safety reconciliation tables and listings.
What does success look like?
Our successful candidate will come to us as an expert Clinical Programmer in the Medical, Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry.
They will have strong programming skills in the likes of C#, SQL and SAS etc as well as version control systems such as Git.
In additional, experience in working on Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, awareness of CDISC standards and familiarity with data analytics would also be required.
