Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Term-Time Only)

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Ringwood, Dorset
Hourly Rate: £11.72 - £12.78 ...
Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, term-time only
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll support students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism. Working closely with experienced teachers, you'll provide classroom assistance and engage students in outdoor activities like Bushcraft and life skills. Your support will be essential in helping students reach their academic and personal development goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Offer personalised support while ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
2. Assist students in working towards their Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP) goals.
3. Implement positive behaviour management techniques adapted to each student's needs.
4. Keep accurate records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety matters.
5. Encourage teamwork and positive social interaction among students.

10. Have basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
11. GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
