Role: Business Support Specialist

About the role:
Our client is responsible for delivering the UK strategy in renewables and managing all the related activities on behalf of the Shareholders. They develop, construct, and operate the Shareholders' renewable assets in the UK, currently operating circa 1 GW (33 onshore and 2 offshore wind farms) with almost 4 GW in planning and development. The objective is to grow from circa 1 GW generation to 6 GW generation over the next decade and to play a pivotal role in the net zero carbon emissions target for the UK.
Role Responsibilities:
Administration support including but not limited to:
1. Management of various internal spreadsheets and action trackers including associated document control.
2. Support with preparing monthly and quarterly reporting requirements ensuring all reporting materials are available in a timely manner ahead of all scheduled reviews.
3. Facilitating detailed minutes and actions including accurate and timely preparation and circulation of meeting minutes and associated materials.
4. Collaboration with team members to capture, evaluate, and prioritize continuous improvement requirements.
5. Supporting the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes.
6. Establish and monitor business support KPI's.
7. Support with identifying optimal arrangements and making travel bookings using the company travel provider.
8. Providing document management support to the asset operations team.
9. Supporting accurate business planning forecasting and cost control across the whole portfolio.
Knowledge and experience:
Experience of delivering Business Support in a complex organization. Demonstrates excellent communication, presentation, and written skills. Experience of working in a complex and fast-moving environment, ideally in the renewables or energy industry.
Functional / technical skills:
Excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills, including the ability to adapt communications to suit the audience (e.g., for senior or technical specialist colleagues). Ability to operate within a project matrix team made up of both technical and non-technical members demonstrating strong proactive organizational skills. Ability to resolve problems, adapt to change, and deliver quality administrative support.
