The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Structurer, Structured Guarantees to work within our Guarantee & Wholesale Solutions Department.
Reporting to the Director of Structured Guarantees, the purpose of the role is to successfully execute typically tranched guarantee transactions (typically securitisations, asset backed/speciality finance, or other capital instruments) within scope of the business plan and in line with the BBB’s objectives and values. You will refer to the responsible senior member of the team for issues which are non-standard, commercially sensitive or require further product development but otherwise will execute transactions independently. The Senior Structurer also originates new transactions in conjunction with the GWS Origination & Relationship Management team where they provide product specific specialism and will be the “go to” expert for Structured Guarantees with respect to FI positions to both internal and external stakeholders. The role may also require helping to develop and, in some cases, directly managing more junior colleagues within the GWS team.
To be considered for this role you must have extensive experience in structuring, investing or lending in either asset backed/speciality finance/other FI exposures, or other similar capital instruments where risk is taken on the lender.
You will have proven experience in credit along with strong analytical and financial modelling skills, including cash flow modelling and granular data analysis.
You will be proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and have a thorough understanding of different asset backed/speciality finance/FIG and/or guarantee techniques, structures and markets.
You will also have excellent knowledge of most regulatory aspects of their products.
If you have experience in either Securitisation (either cash or synthetic/SRT)/proficiency in VBA or similar or proven experience in marketing and/or independently executing transactions (ideally SME focused) then this would be a distinct advantage.
