The position will include both practical and theoretical training whilst studying for your AAT qualification under an apprenticeship agreement. We are looking for an apprentice to join our growing firm. Studying for Level 3 AAT apprenticeship qualification will provide the fundamentals of bookkeeping and accounting. It is a fully funding course involving day release to Exeter College. However, the real value of an apprenticeship undertaken at Peplows is the time gaining valuable work experience alongside the rest of the tax team. Experience may also be gained in accounting and bookkeeping. The exact duties and responsibilities of the position will vary according to the location and department. Typical duties include: Collating and processing tax information to provide a draft tax return for review and approval Recording financial transactions using a variety of software including Xero and Sage Producing draft sets of accounts ready to be reviewed and approved Processing correspondence for clients, HMRC and other third parties. Further duties and responsibilities of similar level as required.
