Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board
To provide a comprehensive secretarial service, following appropriate systems, procedures, policies and processes, to one of the Health Board's Consultant Restorative Surgeons and his/her team.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Routine typing and audio typing of clinical correspondence.
2. Managing Consultant's diaries, prioritising results, organising clinical activity and patient admissions.
3. Liaising with patients, GPs, and outside Health Boards to provide treatment and care.

Person Specification
* RSA III in word processing or equivalent level of knowledge or experience.
* Working as an assistant medical secretary or similar role in a health service, working to tight deadlines, and able to determine priorities.
* Waiting list management and RTT experience.
* Good understanding of Office Software packages (Word processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Email, and Presentation).
* ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).
* Knowledge of Health Board procedures.
* Working as a Medical Secretary undertaking a supervisory role.
* Experience of working in a hospital environment.
* Excellent keyboard and audio typing skills.
* Excellent communication/telephone skills and the ability to deal with staff at all levels.
* Confidentiality and diplomacy.
* Knowledge of a full range of secretarial procedures.
* Must be organised, self-motivated, a team player, but with the ability to work on his/her own initiative.
* Experience in using PIMS/Myrddin.

Salary: £26,928 to £29,551 per annum pro rata.
