Following the launch of our five-year Corporate Strategy, Bron Afon Community Housing is embarking on an exciting period of change. We are transforming our IT services, taking new opportunities to implement technology that improves staff experience and offering additional options to our customers to self-serve. We are building the capacity and capability of the organisation to better embrace change and implementing new ways of working to ensure our efforts are even more transparent, beneficial, and exceed the expectations of our customers.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Support Officer to join our Portfolio and Performance team.
As a Programme Support Officer, you will hold a key role in managing change across the organisation, supporting the Portfolio and Performance Lead in the development of Bron Afon’s Programme Management Office (PMO), and assisting with the coordination and management of our programmes of work. Working closely with Bron Afon’s Programme and Project Managers, you will maintain a focus on benefits monitoring and realisation and provide a professional programme administrative support role.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
* awareness and understanding of formal project management standards e.g., Prince 2, AgilePM.
* a broad but not detailed knowledge of all aspects of ICT including hardware, software, networks, and telephony.
* an aptitude for organising and coordinating complex schedules of work and teams.
* working knowledge of effective risk management and mitigation types.
* a good understanding of stakeholder personal attributes and methods for developing stakeholder relationships.
* a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications and ability to grasp software quickly and confidently.
* an understanding of social housing policies, practices, and procedures (including rents, repairs, and allocations).
Experience of working in a changing environment and understanding of Programme Management techniques and standards such as Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) would be an advantage.
