Sales Associate Position Job Requirements
Shop Related
1. Opening and closing shop (Open 11:00am, Close 19:00pm)
2. Cleaning shop and the pavement outside, putting out the sign
3. Folding garments and arranging clothes on hangers
4. Creating and checking window and shop display looks regularly
5. Maintain all rack and shelves with all colours and sizes
6. Price items in shop correctly, and re-price when sales are organised
7. Upkeep of the shop's cleanliness and presentability (arranging cleaners in office, shop and stock rooms; window cleaning; sourcing decorations and flowers where needed)
8. Closing the shop (putting up the shutters, setting the alarm, lowering the grill)
Customer Services
1. Carrying out sales, bagging
2. Answering the telephone, taking orders, handling returns and dealing with customers
3. Answering emails
4. Professional but friendly communication with all customers, including in situations that require sensitivity
Sales Related
1. Organizing and selling sale events
2. Look for ways to improve sales by researching other venues and networking events
3. Have an in-depth understanding of the company's history and brand concept to inform customers and associates
4. Be aware of trends, seasonal styles and customers' interests, and inform the marketing and sales team to support the brand direction
5. Manifesting orders for Pick and Pack staff where needed
Additional Roles
1. Co-develop and plan social media contents and ideas; create contents where possible; account checks and responses online
2. Carry out picking and packing where needed and when busy, or when staff is on holiday
3. Stock organising when shipment arrives from factory
4. Ordering stationery, cleaning products, photos, supply materials etc for the office, shop and stock rooms
Salary:
£12.50 p/h, 40-hour p/w, with flexibility to work more where needed.
Joining our small team of a British brand founded 15 years ago, now designing, manufacturing and carrying out online, catalogue and shop sales throughout the UK and seven other countries internationally.
Denner Cashmere is a small sustainable cashmere brand based in Clapham Junction, London. We are currently looking for a full-time Sales Associate to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the shop, liaising with customers, taking inbound calls, processing orders, offering upsells, replying to customer correspondence via e-mail, and dealing with refunds and/or delivery issues. An interest in fashion, textiles, cashmere and sustainability is a plus.
Key Responsibilities and Abilities:
1. Good I.T skills, good knowledge of Excel
2. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time without errors or mistakes
3. Ensuring all Orders and Queries are answered and dealt with in a correct manner
4. Friendly demeanour, enjoys interacting with people, teamwork attitude
5. Social media understanding, and ability to navigate different platforms
Additional hours may be required from time to time and in the run-up to Christmas to coordinate busy periods, as well as network with local businesses to support shop sales. Additional training can be arranged.
