We have our ii open for our next outstanding Project Manager:
As a Project Manager, your role will sit within the IT function of interactive investor and you will be accountable for leading a project team through the end to end project lifecycle, whilst maintaining overall responsibility for the delivery of a large project, or multiple medium sized projects. You will be tasked with developing and delivering projects to support ii strategic direction, as well as creating and managing short/medium term goals. The role will also require you to be responsible for developing budgets and project plans. The assignments for you as a Project Manager will typically be large in size, including some cross functional engagement, with major business impact, and stakeholder management to Senior Management and Exec Level.
Here’s what you will look after:
1. The delivery of Projects to scope, time, quality and budget.
2. Production of all Project deliverables and documentation, adhering at all times to the ii Governance policies.
3. Proactively planning and managing the Projects, communicating variances to the key stakeholders.
4. Managing departments, people and projects at the same time whilst adhering to the ii Change Governance model.
5. Identifying all project dependencies and risks, ensuring they are effectively managed.
6. Providing advice and guidance to senior business partners as required regarding best practices in Programme and Project management.
7. Project scope and any changes using established change management processes.
8. Ensuring that budgets are tracked and managed and that any identified deviations are escalated.
9. Identifying and requesting resources required to deliver Project.
10. Investigations, escalations and ensuring that all Project issues are effectively resolved.
11. Supporting an ethos of “continuous improvement”.
12. Effectively and professionally managing vendor relationships.
13. Treating clients fairly at all times.
14. The maintenance of the first line of compliance defence by ensuring individual adherence to business processes and procedures that are designed to meet the regulatory standards set out in the relevant FCA rules and guidance.
15. Maintaining the first line of defence by operating risk controls assigned to the individual.
16. Use of training and competence scheme to maintain the appropriate knowledge, skills and expertise to carry out the role competently.
17. Making informed risk decisions and effectively and credibly debating and challenging management recommendations within your role in line with the approved Risk Appetite Framework.
You’ll need great communication skills and experience:
Because you’ll have to:
1. Have proven experience in Programme management with a track record of delivery.
2. Display strong stakeholder management skills to Senior Management and Exec Level.
3. Have proven experience managing project teams.
4. Demonstrate proven end to end business process knowledge.
5. Have proven experience of designing and implementing business process improvement.
6. Show detailed understanding of budgets and financial management, including associated reporting.
7. Have knowledge and experience of the Financial Services industry.
8. Display your understanding of building and deploying software and associated transition to support activities.
9. Show your experience and understanding of MS Project, other MS software and multiple collaboration tools e.g. Confluence, Slack etc.
10. Have a wide range of technical skills to be able to bring together various technical teams in the production of a clear, achievable, cost-effective and supportable implementation.
11. Demonstrate your understanding of IT & Business Change practices, procedures and principles of project delivery and Project Management (Prince2) to enable the management of a large project, or multiple medium sized projects.
12. Showcase your understanding of project delivery lifecycles using structured project waterfall and agile methodologies, and how to integrate waterfall style deadlines within an agile organisation.
13. Have Project Management skills, use of structured, formal methods.
We would also prefer candidates who are qualified as a PRINCE2 Practitioner, APMP, or PMP.
