An exciting opportunity has arisen within the North Hampshire Agency for a Trainee Commercial Sales Executive. The role will initially require the job holder to acquire general insurance licenses for our range of personal insurance products and work within the Customer Services and Sales team.
It is intended that the successful candidate will be developed into a Commercial Sales Executive role over a 12-18 month period.
About the role
The successful applicant will initially be expected to undertake a wide variety of tasks including the following:
1. Prospecting and developing new business leads.
2. Introducing clients to NFU Mutual’s Financial Services and Risk Management products & services.
3. Maintaining relationships with our extensive bank of existing clients, adjusting insurance policies in line with client requirements.
4. Coordinating and transacting policy renewals for existing clients.
5. Supporting and aiding the development of marketing campaigns to increase lead generation.
6. Acquiring general insurance product licenses and building & maintaining technical knowledge and skills.
7. Developing into a Commercial Sales Executive role through internal training and additional licensing.
8. Maintaining relationships with our existing book of commercial clients and growing our commercial client base.
About you
- Confident, self-motivated & dynamic personality.
- Strong relationship building and prospecting skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and take responsibility for a sales target.
- Organised, prompt & trustworthy.
- Diligence is essential in this regulated industry.
- Experience in a regulated industry desirable but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence – essential.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Maths and English GCSE Grade 4-9 (or equivalent) - essential.
- University degree – desirable.
- CRM experience, particularly with MS Dynamics or Salesforce - desirable.
- Full driving licence required - essential.
