Bromley Temple Salvation Army Church & Community Centre is looking for a Community Café Manager to coordinate the effective operation of the Cafe with responsibility for management of employees and volunteers working within it to ensure a high standard of service.
Your Key responsibilities will include:
Ensure good quality food, presentation and services are provided to Café customers as well as for special events or functions to provide a high level of customer service.
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, to ascertain their levels of satisfaction with the service, and to find ways to improve as necessary.
Support those coming into the café who may be seeking assistance.
Support those experiencing homelessness with practical support e.g. food parcels, making shower available, signposting to other agencies etc.
Demonstrate both a professional and caring manner when interacting with centre users and café guests to create a welcoming and supportive environment consistent with the values of the Church.
Be responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving of quality, food and refreshments to customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
Experience of working at a management level within a food provision retail environment
Strong knowledge and experience of preparing and serving food in a cafe environment
Up to date knowledge and understanding of food hygiene requirements pertaining food preparation, cooking and storage including BFH and COSHH requirements
