Long-Term Teachers is working closely with a fantastic Special Educational needs school in Dawlish who is seeking a qualified teacher to join their close-knit and hardworking team.
Our school provides outstanding academic and personal care to students across all key stages, so there are opportunities to teach at both primary and secondary level. You will be working with children who have emotional and behavioural difficulties, alongside additional needs such as communication and interaction difficulties, learning needs and autism.
Surrounded by beautiful woodland and near the seaside, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in fulfilling activities outside of the classroom. About the role:
* Plan and delivery engaging lessons that are adapted to suit the needs of the students
* Work closely with support staff to ensure students are engaged in their learning and making good progress
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback
* Create a positive learning environment, supporting students to become well-rounded, resilient and confident individuals
* Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all students

* Strong knowledge of SEN Teaching strategies and best practices
