FP&A Analyst
Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a FP&A Analyst to join our team based at our newly created European MRO site in Tewkesbury.

Ontic has a unique business model - we licence complex components that other companies no longer wish to make and guarantee their supply through the long remaining life of the aircraft fleets we serve. We operate across many, even most, military and civil platforms with over 6,000 different parts.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of FP&A and supporting the Rest of World (ROW) MRO business, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining FP&A processes for MRO at the stand-alone site, in particular focus on Revenue, Cost of Sales and Direct Margin. Ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial outputs from the FP&A team, primarily the weekly flash reporting and monthly close procedures. The role will support and contribute to timely, accurate and informative analysis which can help senior management and the wider business to understand key performance drivers and identify and monitor opportunities and risks.
Main responsibilities:
1. Establish FP&A procedures for the new site and ensure FP&A processes are consistent with RoW FP&A processes. Support the transition of product and understand impacts to financial performance.
2. Preparing for, attending and contributing to weekly flash forecast meetings to assess the latest financial position of the site.
3. Reconciling Revenue, Cost of Sales and Royalty for accuracy and against expectation and posting journals where required. Reconciliation of associated Balance Sheet nominals such as Accrued Income, Accrued Royalty or Deferred Revenue.
4. Partner with the Programme Management teams to understand the financial performance of their Value Stream, to support accurate forecasting, support and or challenge decision making.
5. Understanding site Revenues in relation to other key performance indicators and understanding the operational processes and procedures impacting financial results.
6. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles across Revenue and DM for the site, including but not limited to data gathering and analysis to feed into site and group reporting.
7. Production of the Finance by working day 5, including a full analysis of financial information, detailing variance to budgets, forecasts, and prior year across Value Stream and license.
8. Ensure that appropriate internal and external controls and financial accounting standards are adhered to in the preparation and completion of month end journals and reports, to safeguard business assets.
9. Supporting the company's annual audit process by maintaining accurate and detailed audit trails and supporting audit queries.
10. Ensure all reporting information is relevant and accurate by making sure that reports are reviewed and amended regularly to reflect changes in the business's informational needs.
11. Support analysis of new business performance, e.g. performance to paper, with close relationships with PMO team to understand margin risks and corrective action.
Other Responsibilities:

2. Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company policies.
3. Undertake such other duties commensurate with the role that may be required from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1. Qualified Preferred e.g. (ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent professional qualification.
2. 5-10 years' experience in a large multinational company.
3. Strong System capability and Advanced Excel Skills (lookups, pivots etc.).
4. Experience of complex financial models and analysis of large data sets.
5. Ability to communicate confidently at all levels and be able to explain financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
6. Able to establish and develop business relationships across all functions.
7. Able to embrace and actively support change in a rapidly progressive organisation.
8. Aptitude to work effectively under pressure and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.
9. Demonstrates the ability to work within the broader business context but also provides the practical application to "Get the job done".
Key Working Relationships:
1. Regular contact with the Senior Management Team and wider finance team.
2. Regular contact with operational staff.
3. Regular contact with Global Stakeholders Ontic US & Ontic Singapore Finance.
4. Suppliers - supporting IPT Team & Pricing Audits.
