Permanent Help shape the Future of a Globally Significant Heritage Site Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable World Heritage Site Coordinator to lead the management and promotion of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in conserving, enhancing, and celebrating one of the UK’s most important cultural landscapes. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our highly innovative and motivated Development Management Team and as our World Heritage Site Co coordinator you will - Oversee the strategic management of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. - Work closely with key partners, including Historic England, the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, local communities, and businesses. - Develop and implement policies to protect the site's heritage while encouraging sustainable growth. - Lead on funding applications and project delivery to support conservation and visitor engagement. - Promote the site locally, nationally, and internationally to enhance its profile and visitor experience. We are looking for someone with: - A strong background in heritage management, planning, or conservation. - Experience working with multiple stakeholders in heritage or local government. - Excellent project management and communication skills. - Proven experience of identifying and making grant funding applications, fundraising and marketing. - Experience of producing and overseeing the delivery of Management Plans.
