About Us: We are a new supported living service dedicated to providing high-quality care for individuals with learning disabilities (LD) and complex needs. Our mission is to promote independence, dignity, and a fulfilling life for our service users. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team and help us achieve this goal.
Role Overview: As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our service users, helping them to live as independently as possible. You will work closely with the Team Leader and other staff to ensure that our services comply with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
* Support service users in developing and maintaining their independence and life skills.
* Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, including maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and documentation.
* Build positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
* Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
* Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
* Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the service.
* Handle incidents and safeguarding concerns promptly and effectively.
Requirements:
* Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
* Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs (desirable but not essential).
* Right to work in the UK.
* DBS check in place and ideally registered on the Update Service.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
* Commitment to promoting the rights, independence, and inclusion of service users.
* Willingness to undergo training and professional development.
