Are you a creative and passionate Physiotherapist with an interest in Pelvic Health? Are you looking for a new challenge as part of a dynamic, innovative and supportive team? This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the recovery and rehabilitation of service users with pelvic and perinatal health conditions.
We are an established fast follower currently implementing the improvements driven by NHS England's development of Perinatal Pelvic Health Services across the country and so it is an exciting time to join our team at Barnsley. Our team leads local delivery of the national NHS Long Term Plans ambition to improve prevention, identification, and referral to NICE-recommended treatment for pelvic health problems during pregnancy and at least one year following birth. This is alongside management of other general pelvic health conditions.
Main duties of the job
The interview date for this role is Wednesday 12th March 2025.
As a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist you will work as part of a supportive and dynamic team to provide physiotherapy services for the treatment of pelvic and perinatal health conditions, including musculoskeletal issues in pregnancy and the first year postnatal.
You will undertake specialist assessment, treatment and advice to patients with complex presentations and formulate a clinical diagnosis and Physiotherapy treatment plan as an autonomous practitioner.
With regular supervision from experienced Advanced Physiotherapists, you will develop highly specialised clinical skills working both on an individual basis and in group settings providing advice and preventative education for minimising risk of developing pelvic health and pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions.
