Hours: 30 Hours Total
1. Monday: 0900 - 1300 (4 Hours)
2. Tuesday: 0900 - 1600 (7 Hours)
3. Wednesday: 0900 - 1600 (7 Hours)
4. Thursday: 0900 - 1400 (5 Hours)
5. Friday: 0900 - 1600 (7 Hours)
As the Reception and Office Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the school as the first face that visitors, colleagues, students and other stakeholders see. As such it is essential that you are enthusiastic, positive, calming and have a “can do” attitude. Your primary role will be as the school receptionist, but also where time allows you will provide administrative support to the office and the Headteacher. Your role will include acting as the first point of contact for anyone arriving at the school, dealing with both telephone and face-to-face enquiries in a professional and supportive manner.
Other duties will include managing the school's email inbox, responding to messages and assisting students with information and support that they need. When providing administrative support, this would include updating systems including both manual forms and electronic, carrying out filing, printing and photocopying, and ensuring records are kept in accordance with the school requirements. We are looking for a proactive and resourceful member of staff who is warm, kind and highly effective at communicating with young people and adults. The ideal candidate will be a team player with recent experience of working in a school and ideally have a knowledge of a school or educational establishment. They also will need excellent organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills. Additionally, strong interpersonal skills are a must.
