About the Role
We are seeking a Project Document Controller to join our team in Tadcaster, Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling project documentation, ensuring all documents are up-to-date, properly stored, and easily accessible. You will be instrumental in setting up document control systems and processes, ensuring seamless document management and compliance with project requirements.
This role offers the flexibility of working one day a week from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain project document control systems, including processes for version control, access rights, and document retention.
- Manage all project documentation, ensuring files are organized, named correctly, and stored securely.
- Implement and oversee document management through SharePoint, setting up folder structures, permissions, and workflows.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure documentation is correctly uploaded and accessible.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external documentation standards.
- Support the team in using SharePoint and other document management tools efficiently.
- Liaise with project teams to track and manage document submissions, approvals, and revisions.
- Maintain logs of incoming and outgoing project documentation.
- Assist with reporting and data management using Excel.
- Experience with Aconex or similar document management systems is highly desirable.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in document control, ideally within a project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint for document management, including setting up systems and processes.
- Proficient in Excel and general computer literacy.
- Familiarity with Aconex or similar systems is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
